Welcome!
I am a doctoral student at the University of Rochester’s Department of Political Science. For the 2026-2027 academic year, I am a graduate fellow at the W. Allen Wallis Institute of Political Economy. My research focuses on how institutional constraints shape bureaucratic behavior—specifically, how rules governing hiring, firing, and oversight impact public service delivery. Applied formal modeling is my primary but nonexclusive mode of inquiry.
Before coming to Rochester, I received my MA in Political Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and my BA in Political Science from Hope College.
